Proud Graftonite
Dear NHFP,
I am writing in support of your excelent publication, which I used to pick up at the Canaan Village Pizza, but for some reason is no longer on the shelf containing free real estate literature. I am a Graftonite born and bred, but unfortunately I am curently in exile in Canaan. My grandfathers were true conservatives, men who knew the importance and absolute necessity of limited government to support and foster a "Country for the free and liberated". I am thankful that they died before they would have to witness the degredation and destruction of our identity and our homeland. I for one am proud to have Grafton become a new haven for Porcupines, visionary people who lack the contention to disappear quietly with little opposition towards the tyrannical "powers of progress and liberation".
I am disturbed and ashamed when I hear good people, neighbors I have known my whole life, make despairaging remarks about the Free Town movement. It seems they are comfortable regurgitating the party line, whichever party they ascribe to, rather than embracing the freedom to listen to the arguments and allow the Strength of the argument, Pro or Con, to influence their political and sociological identity and values.
Fortunately the passion and zeal of the opressing progressors has in effect, through victory of policy and ideal, seemingly awakened the sleeping giant of the average citizen. Dissent is visible. The people are responding in spite of the lack of media representation. I receive minimal respite in this observation, the ability to sleep at night, and possible hope for a future where I have the freedom to disagree.
God Bless and thank you,
Pete Thoresen.
