About Us
The New Hampshire Free Press started in February 2006 as the Keene Free Press. As we expanded our coverage around the state, we decided to change the name to the New Hampshire Free Press.
The paper was started by two members of the Free State Project, Russell and Kat Kanning. Various other Free State Project members help out with content, donations and distribution.
Our goal is to help bring about a society where interactions between people are voluntary. Coercive taxation and government is not possible in a voluntary society.
Reprinting of our content is encouraged. Some of our columnists have restrictions on the articles they send us. You can check their websites.
The paper is distributed around SW New Hampshire, from Winchester to Manchester to Plymouth and Lebanon. Circulation is 5000 monthly.
The print edition of the New Hampshire Free Press is created with the help of freeware Scribus.
